How to Realign Your 2025 Goals in May.

For 2025 we all have high hopes and set our goals, during the start of the year. And this year is moving fast ,so before we hit the Mid year let’s check in now at where what goals we have already achieved, what we are working towards for and how to make better progress. This also helps us to realign our strategies to achieve our goals sooner.

Sometimes life happens and we forget about the intentions we set for this year. We might get distracted by other priorities or feel lost sometimes. Looking back at our goals list might be daunting but it’s better to look at them now, and realign our path towards success. Let’s get into it.

Revisit your goals or vision board

Get back to the intentions and goals you have set at the start of the year.Have a look at the list and notice how you feel. Understand if ,

  • Are you motivated to push through your goals or
  • Are you feeling scared about your goals,
  • Do you feel like you can achieve them or
  • Have your priorities changed?

Notice how you feel and now write down your answers. You will immediately gain clarity.Dont judge yourself here. There are still several months to achieve what you have missed.

Refine and Tune your goals

Now take time to reflect on,

  • What goals you have achieved,
  • What you have avoided doing or
  • What new goal is making you excited.
For example:

If your goal is to hit the gym 3 days a week, and you have been avoiding to do it.Understand where your avoidance behaviour is steaming from.May be because you are not a morning person and don’t want to go to gym in the morning. Then refine your goal to hit the gym in the evenings and try that out.

For all the goals you have achieved, celebrate your small wins, this will motivate you to keep pushing forward.

If there are goals that you have avoided doing, maybe you had a goal to daily read and you have been avoiding to do it. Understand what really might be the reason that you are avoiding the goal.Maybe the book you are currently reading is not interesting enough, so change the book and stick to your goal.

Reset your motivation

Understand your why, what is the reason for you to set these goals in the first place? Reflecting back on your why is going to help you regain your motivation.Through the day to day life we might easily run over our goals, motivation and stick to what is comfortable.

If the why is powerful, the how is easy

Jim Rohn
For example :

If your goal is to grow to 10k followers on Linkedin, you have to take time out in your evenings to write the content and post it. On a daily basis this might feel overwhelming to think of the content, writing the content especially if we are tired.

But when we understand and remember our why,the reason for why we started in the first place from time to time it will give us enough motivation to keep pushing ourselves towards our goals. To always remember the reason why we set the goals, the vision board that we might have already created and stuck out before our work or study table will keep us motivated and going. If you haven’t already created a vision board, this is the right time to do it.

Create an action plan for your goals

Setting goals alone during the New year is not going to magically tune you to achieve them.Creating a proper action plan for them and sticking to them will.

Break down your goals

For example :

If your goal is to eat healthier, you have to weekly schedule your meals, find new healthy recipes online, buy the necessary groceries, keep them in stock, and prepare meals.

So now your goal of eating healthy has been broken down into simpler daily action steps that you can incorporate into your daily life,to eventually stick to them and achieve it by the end of the year.

This applies to any goal, create an action plan, break down the goals into smaller tasks and follow them up regularly.

Create a weekly check in ritual

Now we have revisited our goals, refined them, created action plans to stick to them,it is time to weekly check in if we are following the action plan created and if we are moving towards our goals.
