Reset and Cleanse
First and the Foremost thing to start doing before the new year is to organise your life. This is the most important thing to do before a new year because we want to start the new year on a fresh page.
So everything from our homes to our phones is going on a full cleanse.Down below are the steps to reset and cleanse
Digital Cleanse
Unfollow,Unsubscribe,Delete,Mute,Block- Do this for all the necessary apps needed.I would always keep my social media apps on mute.
This helps me to go to them when i have some time rather than go on a scrolling spree just because i had a notification.
Unfollow people who dontprovide you any value.Unsubscribe from no longer needed emails.Delete,Mute and block as needed along.

Space Cleanse
As I always say,the environment has a direct impact on our mental health.I never like to work in a cluttered space,it makes me so lazy.
But when I work in a freshly clean space, with a coffee by my side my productivity would sky rocket. So declutter your wardrobe, donate things that you don’t use.
Deep clean your apartment, book for any cleaning services if needed.Check your makeup and skincare for expiry dates and declutter them.
Reorganise or Redecorate your space for getting a new feeling like it’s a new chapter about to begin.

Mental and Physical cleanse
This is equally important to cleanse our mind and souls before the new year.First is to start with self care.I have a whole list of self care activities in my recent blog post you can click here to read.
Self care helps us to tend to our own body and minds and help us feel better.I know the holiday season is approaching and it is the time to enjoy all the food we need for our soul.
So don’t food shame yourself, eat well but eat mindfully and eat healthy food for most of the time.
Physically start moving your body, this could be through going to the gym or going for outdoor walks .This is going to help us get into the habit of movement

Reflect and Review
Categorize and Reflect
First categorize your life into 4 different areas,Career,Relationship,Physical and Mental.Review each of these areas and write down about where you are at in each of these area, how you have been doing and what you could have done better.
Success and Failures Analysis
Here you are going to look back at all our setbacks and success and analyse them.Look for patterns that helped you to succeed as well as patterns that led to failures.
This will help you to know yourself better and use those patterns to your benefit later in life.
Lessons Learned
Take a moment to look back at the past year and analyse the lessons learned. You might have made a dumb mistake and would have regretted it
.But instead of self sabotaging yourself, think it in a different perspective of what are the lessons that you learnt through the mistakes that was made.

Journal Prompts
So down below are a few journal prompts that I usually use to end the year by reflecting and understanding. These prompts will help you to easily understand yourself and get ahead of others.
- What I am most proud of this year
- What were my most significant personal achievements or breakthroughs this year
- What progress did I make on the goals that I set for myself this year
- What skills and knowledge did I acquire and how did it change my life this year
- What was I most grateful for this year
- What are the significant key insights that i learnt about myself and my journey this year
- How did you contribute to the community this year
Goal Setting
Now that we have reflected and reviewed the new year, now is the time for setting new goals for the new year !
Write down your goals
Sit down and write your goals down, this could be in pen and paper or in your notes app just as simple as that.
You could also use notion templates like these here to write down your goals and schedule them properly
Vision Board
Oh this is my favourite exercise for the new year.Vision boarding is a beautiful ritual that I wish everyone does it.Its very simple, just head to Pinterest and based on the goals that you have written find out pictures that resonate with you like you are living that dream.Like how you would like your future self to look like.
Now either make a collage of it digitally using any collage apps or you can print them out and arrange them on a board and stick it somewhere where you can see it daily.

I Like to put it on the walls of my study table and also as my phone and laptop wallpaper.
So what happens is every time you see it while going along your day,you see your goals and the dream life that you want to live and it gets registered in your mind.
Lock in your goals as habits
As much as it is important to set goals,it is important to make them into habits and schedule it into your day.So this is where you can get your google calendar app in and timeblock your goals into habits.
If your goal is to eat healthy meals at home, then time block in your calendar for grocery shopping, planning your meals and blocking in time for meal prepping.

Now your 2024 has been ended successfully and goals have been set for your new year.Ending your year successfully is really important part of everyone’s lives and make sure you do it right.Leave a comment down below of how 2024 was for you and which of the above advices are you going to take to end it successfully.
